Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of codefortlab.xyz, the Website Health Review, and any project we take on together. By submitting the review form or engaging us, you agree to them.

The Website Health Review

• The Website Health Review is a paid, fixed-price service. You send a URL; we send back a written report of what we found. If you go on to commission a rebuild, the review fee is credited toward it.
• The review is limited to information that is publicly observable. We do not perform any active or intrusive testing of your live site unless you have given us written permission for a defined scope first.
• We may decline, pause, or prioritise requests at our discretion — for example if a site is outside our scope.
• A review is our professional opinion, not a guarantee. It does not create a client relationship on its own and does not constitute a warranty that a site is or isn’t secure.
• You may only submit sites you own or are authorised to have reviewed. By submitting, you confirm you have that authority.

Projects & fixed quotes

• If you want us to do the work, we scope it and give you a single fixed quote, in whichever currency suits you. That quote is the price for the scope described.
• Changes to scope are re-quotedand must be approved in writing before we start on them. We don’t bill surprise hours.
• A written quote is valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise.

Payment terms

• Projects are billed 50% up front to begin and 50% on completion, before final handover, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
• Larger projects may be split into milestones, each with its own 50/50 split and approval step.
• Invoices are payable in the currency stated on the invoice, via the method stated on it.

Intellectual property & handover

On final payment, ownership of the deliverables we build for you — the code, design assets, and accounts we set up in your name — transfers to you. Until final payment is received, all work product remains our property. We may retain our own reusable tools, libraries, and general know-how, and may reference the finished work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

Refunds

Because our work is bespoke, fees for a delivery milestone are non-refundable once that milestone has been delivered and approved. If you cancel mid-milestone, we’ll bill for work completed to that point and hand over what has been paid for.

Liability

We do our work carefully and test what we build, but to the extent permitted by law our total liability for any engagement is limited to the fees you paid us for it. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
